SCRAP hosts on-site creative reuse workshops for our community twice monthly, on Saturdays. The workshops are presented by independent artists and teachers who use SCRAP items in their projects in some way.

The goals of the workshops are-

•for participants to make art projects using materials from the SCRAP depot
•to teach participants how to engage in creative reuse through art
•to recharge everyone's creative batteries
•to have fun!

Requirements for the artist-

•Knowledge of SCRAP and experience teaching
•Present a well thought out description of the project including your step by step process and how materials from SCRAP will be used
• Provide examples of the project and/or of your work as an artist
•Write a simple, one page, list of directions for your project
•Arrive one hour before start of workshop to set up workshop
•Workshops are either three hours (from 1:00 to 4:00pm) or six hours (from 10:00am to 4:00pm), the last half hour to include clean up
•Fill out and sign letter of agreement
•Fill out and sign invoice

We welcome all kinds of workshops and instructors at SCRAP! Workshop instructors are paid $200 per 3-hour workshop and $300 per 6-hour workshop and have a limited materials budget available for special products you might need that are not available at SCRAP.

As a workshop instructor, we will promote your workshop through our monthly email newsletter and on our website.
